From the Dungeon

by Ted Elzinga, Far West Regional Vice Chairman

As I write this the results of the national election have not yet been announced. One more local officer has been elected, however. Sam Moses will take over the reins of Greater Los Angeles Area Mensa and Henry Miller retires again. Henry has been active for a long time having hosted Asilomars six and seven in 1970 and 1971. Thanks, Henry, for all of your service to Mensa.

On the Memorial Day weekend, San Diego Mensa hosted their Regional Gathering. It was like old times. The committee did such a fantastic job and the hotel arrangement was just perfect. We were treated to another performance of Guilt by Association, the San Diego Mensa group that has entertained in the past at other RGs including Los Angeles and Asilomar. Bob Tutelman wrote all of the material and also performed. He must have been one of the busiest at the RG because Bob also did the Treasure Hunt, a series of puzzles that exercised the best minds in the region. The San Diego RG will be a hard act to follow.
