Malibu is now becoming a family event - at least for the Penneys - all four of them. Father John was winning for a while until his, now disowned, son James switched cars and knocked a second off his times. Carolyn Penney times dropped from 107.14 to 94.14 in just three laps. I think John, projecting her tenth lap, talked her into quitting!
Maynard put on a great performance with only two laps on his first appearance.
