One evening some 12 years ago my daughter started up her car for the trip home from work when she heard a strange sound from under the hood. She opened it and discovered a tiny, very frightened kitten, huddled up to seek the heat and somehow miraculously having escaped the fan or other moving parts of the motor.
She took the little grey and white stranger home and discovered the cat had quite a taste for opera. During an opera workshop in her home, Meli (for Melisande) tried to join in and became so interested and involved that the singers kept dissolving in laughter. Poor Meli had to be banished upstairs so the workshop could continue.
All our animals (cats, dogs, and even house rabbits) seem to have very definitive tastes in music, Meli being the opera fan, another enjoying Mozart. Has anyone else noticed this?
