She has a diving pool, which on this occasion opens at 4 p,m., so come early and bring a towel. Non-sun worshippers need have no fear, because the deep end is in the shade. To get there get yourself to 21st Avenue and Bell, go north almost a mile (if you reach the stop sign at Grovers, you've gone too far). Turn west on Shady Glen and you will find her house on your left.
Bill Rouse has come to our rescue..... again! He heard that I was hard put to fill the September calendar and called me to offer his home for the Salon on the 20th. Thank you Bill. Lucky for us he is not only generous, but also a great host with a great home for parties, and it keeps getting better. Now it is wheel chair accessable thanks to his motorcycle ramp. Bill, you are going to end up with a perfect home one of these days. Which reminds me. The reason I hadn't been on the horn a lot earlier to fill in the calendar was because I went to Connecticut to attend a party that my sister threw in her home in Westport. Wow, what a spread! I was enticed by the prospect of seeing cousins that I hadn't seen in 40 years and it was worth the trip. The plane fare cost me $10 plus $32 for the bus from JFK. Neat trick eh?
For those who sometimes don't get to read the MAAM calendar right away, please be advised that Arleen and Hardy will be having a Soiree on the 4th of October. The real reason why I mention this is because they have a sand volleyball court which isn't lighted. If you are seriously interested in playing volleyball enough to want to get there before sundown. please call me to let me know and we can change the starting time accordingly. 264-9321.
