Monthly Forum: "America’s Toughest Sheriff" |

Sheriff Arpaio is undoubtedly the most famous Sheriff in America today. He is renowned for his "get tough" attitude towards inmates and his aggressive pursuit of prostitutes, graffiti "artists", drug offenders, and dead-beat parents. Arpaio has appeared on every major US television network (and many foreign ones as well), and is often mentioned in newspaper and magazine articles.
Locally, Sheriff Arpaio is known for many things; including the infamous tent city, pink underwear, boloney sandwiches, chain gangs, and the nation’s largest volunteer posse force. Such a dominant and highly visible authority figure tends to elicit strong feelings from the people of Maricopa County. Many people love what Arpaio stands for, while some deplore his tough "Jails aren’t country clubs" attitude.
No matter where you personally fall in the Arpaio love/hate continuum, the October Forum should prove to be an interesting, informative, and perhaps even entertaining meeting. Please plan to attend.
To get to AutoNation, take the Ray Road exit off I-10 East, turn left over the freeway on Ray, then turn left at the first road (Weber), go one block and turn left on Orchard. The Post-Forum discussion will be at Keegans only a few blocks away.
