Greater Phoenix Mensa has been chosen as the location for the 1998 Mensa Mind Games. This is the weekend where you get to play games submitted by the manufacturers, vying for the right to proclaim their game as the "#1 Choice of Mensans". If you love Games Night, this will be the weekend for you. You’ll have an opportunity to try out games before the general public has even heard of them and vote for your favorite.
Details will emerge next month, but it is tentatively scheduled for early June and your help is needed. If this sounds like fun to you, call Carol Young at 243-0480 and volunteer to help organize and run the weekend. We’ll need people to run hospitallity, organize a lunch and and a dinner, register participants and help oversee that the rules are being followed for voting on games.
If you’re interested in working on the committee, PLEASE call me as soon as possible. We need to move quickly to make sure the Mind Games weekend runs smoothly. This is the first time this annual even has been held west of the Mississippi and we’re honored (and jazzed!) that we’ve been chosen.
