I have a few favors to ask. First, try to slow down our membership growth just a tad. At this rate we might reach 900 by the end of my term. This would put our group in the "jumbo" category and we would be competing with the likes of Chicago, LA and some east coast behemoths for the Chapter of the Year award.
Next, stop coming to all the parties and bringing so much food. I am getting complaints from the hosting members that there are too many leftovers for them to consume.
Speaking of parties, I am throwing one at 11 East Ashland on November 6. It will have some similarities and some differences compared with our first bash there.
Similar: Friends, fun, art, free food, all free non-alcoholic beverages and some hi-test.
Different: $2 owl to cover the rent ($4 for lapsees), TOTALLY FREE IF IT IS YOUR FIRST EVENT, cool weather, bring your own chair if you must sit down a lot, logistics and hardware in better shape.
Basically, join me for an all-you-can eat burrito bar, salads, munchies and cookies. Just try to run me out of food this time.
Finally, the ever present help wanted:
See you all in November, now, hear. I just luuuuvvvv all those personalities!
