1) Meeting called to order at 1:05, March 7th, 1999.

2) Present were:

3) In previous minutes, Bruce Stiles had been listed as Business Manager, corrected to Member at Large. With this change the minutes of the previous meeting were approved.

4) For April, the Executive Committee meeting will be moved to Sunday, April 11th, at Jerry's, 1750 North Scottsdale road, at 1:00. Brunch and Banter will be held at the same location at 11:00.

5) Pete Moskovitz has been successful in catching up testing. Melissa Morrison, the Arizona Republic writer who wrote a story on Greater Phoenix Mensa (GPM) testing, passed, and her name was found on a list of new members.

Membership Committee meeting will be held 6:00 Wednesday at the Coffee Plantation. GPM is receiving a bubble of new members, and we would like to encourage them to become active.

6) GPM's $200 contribution to the Arizona Regional Science Bowl received prominent mention throughout the course of the event and generated some press.

GPM's funds are at $9,500.

7) The March MAAM Newsletter was 20 pages, which Stephenie Crowley considered a success. She would like still more. Her editorial, covering screening Nursing candidates on their ability to stand in line rather than on their ability, has been requested for reprint.

8) RGY2K needs to prepare for national Bulletin submissions. The RG Committee is seeking input on suitable locations. For interloper control, Mel Anderson suggested an armed uniformed security guard. Carol Young suggested Los Olivos, on 3rd Street and McDowell, as a site she had evaluated, and approved, when she was RG Chair.

9) There was no new business.

10) Adjournment was called for at 1:43.
