December Parties

Our December 4^th Soiree will be at the home of a new member named Heather Fallon, who has chosen a Musical theme for her first GPM party. She and her mother will provide the buffet, so you needn’t take food. Heather has a piano and would like volunteers to take turns playing it for brief stints, so we can sing together. If you play, please call her at 623 872 0633. All other musical instruments are also very welcome. Bruce Stiles will do karaoke. The address is 8219 W. Orange Dr. in Glendale. To get there, from 83^rd Avenue and Camelback, drive north 1 block and turn right on Orange to the 3^rd house on the right.

Bill Rouse will host our Christmas Party on the 18^th of December, so get out your fancy party clothes to compliment the festive event. He lives at 156 N. MacDonald, which is a few blocks east of Country Club and a block and a half south of University.

Our Second Millennium Celebration on December 31st will be hosted by Paul Nowak, whom we hope will be sure to get a nap that day, because he has to be at work at 7 next morning. We are not being asked to bring food, since Paul will provide all the food and drink. Thank you, Paul, for opening your beautiful home to us for this rare event. The address is 18220 N. 45^th Street. From Bell and 40^th Street, drive north to Robert E. Lee, east to 45^th Street, and north to the 4^th house on the left.

Anyone who isn’t partied out next day can make his or her way to my house at 1635 East Rovey Avenue, which is 1 block north of Bethany Home Rd. on the corner of 16^th Place. There is a parking lot on the west side of the latter street. Other than that, park on my concrete or wherever you can avoid blocking anyone’s driveway. The theme is Humor, so bring your best jokes and we will laugh the evening away.

All parties start at 7:30, there will be a $2 owl ($4 New Years Eve) and the codes are listed in the calendar. Take some food for the participatory buffet and whatever alcoholic beverage you prefer. The host will supply soft drinks and service items. We have no hosts beyond January, so please call me to make your choice so we can admire your home and tell you what a great host you are.
