A quiet month overall and really not a whole lot to say, so I’ll use this month to remind you of some important items:

If you haven’t sent in your membership renewal to the National Office, PLEASE STOP EVERYTHING AND DO IT NOW. This could be one of your last MAAMs if you don’t and it really can become a major problem if your membership lapses and you then renew it and we have add you once again to our mailing list until National updates theirs. If you’ve been putting it off till now, don’t put it off any longer.

If you haven’t signed up for the Annual Gathering, I couldn’t recommend it enough to you. Annual Gatherings are special events – where else would 1,000-1,500 Mensans get together under one hotel roof – and have a great time together. Anytime the AG is within driving distance, you should take advantage of the opportunity. I attended the Orange County AG back in 1990 when they last hosted one and it was truly fabulous. This one looks to equal that one at least.

Finally, look for an announcement for a special party just for Greater Phoenix Mensans. The ExCom has been discussing ways to thank you for your membership and give everyone an opportunity to come together for an evening of fun. Plans are being finalized for a late May-early June time frame and we hope to have something in next month’s MAAM.
