New Activity
I was pleased to receive a call from Ken Brown asking about starting a new activity for the East valley. The new activity will be a Microbrewery Pub Crawl (MPB) on Friday afternoon. This month MPB will meet July 7, 21, & 28 at three of the East Valley bars. As Mensa grows in this Valley, we need members to take the lead in organizing activities in their area. The metro area is large and getting larger. Thanks for your effort, Ken.
Traditional Activities
Shoestring Gourmet - Get a group of people who like to eat well, but not spend a lot of money and you have the makings of Shoestring Gourmet. Each month a different theme will be selected for the dinner. Recipes will be provided if you don’t have one that fits the category.
Games Night - another great way to get involved without getting overwhelmed. A variety of games are provided for you to enjoy or you can bring one of your own. Conversation can easily center around the game, so you don’t have to worry about getting tongue-tied or trying to think up something to say.
Fold, Staple & Mutilate. A small group of regulars and newcomers gathers at Stevie’s house once a month to put together the newsletter.
