FORUM: Negotiation |
Forum, Friday, August 10, 2001, 7:00 p.m., Pyle Adult Center
Dr. John E. Crawford, recently retired from
ASU, speaks to us for the third time. In prior visits, he has spoken on Cults
and Conflict Management. This August, he shares his thoughts on Negotiation.
John views negotiation as a bracketed conflict. In practice, therefore, much of what happens when skilled negotiators engage one another involves attempts to manipulate both the bracket and the conflict to the detriment of opposers. Since both offensive and defensive strategies for effective negotiation evolve from these two conceptual foundations, John will be sharing insights relevant for both buyers and sellers in this session.
Please join us for a presentation that will be as useful as it is interesting. The Monthly Forum will be held on Friday, August 10, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at the Pyle Adult Recreation Center in Tempe. Come to the southwest corner of Rural and Southern, and turn south into the parking lot. Then join us afterwards at the Uptown Brewery just a few blocks away for the Post-Forum Debriefing.
