The GPM Website: What do You Think?

by Alan Gore

As GPM’s new website coordinator, I am starting out by making changes that will make our GPM website more useful. I’m starting with the location of the site itself. Several times in the last few years, our expanding need for space and problems with various Internet host providers have caused us to move our site from place to place, sometimes suddenly. But by the time you read this, our content should have been moved to its permanent home at Mensa headquarters in Fort Worth. With its high-bandwidth servers and regular backups, this will be a good long-term place to host our Web content.

You will still be able to use http://www.greaterphoenixmensa.org/ to get to the new GPM site. Robert Andrews will now be running the Humor section on the site, but for now the familiar subsections will be available just as they were, but without the broken and circular links: the MAAM archive, Mensa links, the contact list of officers, National Mensa site link, and the science miscellany links.

Folks, I’m soliciting comments. What do you like and dislike about the GPM site as it exists now? What new things would you like to see added to it? Please write me at agore@qwest.net to let me know.
