Calendar Notes

by Joni Pourchot

Smooth Moves (Part II) - The house is mostly in order, due to the deadline of a house guest and a 50th birthday party the last week of March. We’re still looking for a lawn mower, but have acquired a few other yard tools at sales.  The roses the former owners left are beautiful.  Anyone out there who is a rose fancier, your input will be welcome.  My father grows hibiscus, not roses.

Important Items to Note!

PTA (Happy Hour Crowd) - Mike Johnson has taken up the job (temporarily) of organizing these get togethers.  Please step forward if you would be interested in taking over from Mike.

Numerous Dining Opportunities - Head out to eat with a group of wild and wooly Mensans at Burger Madness.  Or choose a more sedate group with the Dine Out, Shoestring Gourmet or Thirty-Somethings dining opportunities.  Wherever Mensans go, they tend to eat.  Starving is not an option when you are with this group.

Calendar Entries need to be in to me by the 12th of the month, so that I can get the Calendar to Glenn on the 13th.  If you are planning an event that also has a write up in the MAAM, please send the Calendar Entry to me by the 12th and your article to Glenn by the 13th.  Please be sure to confirm even the events that normally happen, especially if there is a holiday weekend the same date as your event.

Did Something Get Left Out?  If you didn’t get your entry in to the Calendar and want to be sure that people know about it, you can e-mail Mike Johnson <mikejohnson@home.com> for him to add it to his weekly e-mail reminders.  The information won’t reach quite as many people, but it will get to some.

The necessary stuff: All MAAM submissions for the June 2002 issue must be received by 8 P.M.. on Sunday, May 12.  Submissions by e-mail need to be in plain text, not as an attached file.

Send Calendar entries to Joni Pourchot by one of the following means:

All other stuff (announcements, letters, articles, etc.) should be sent to Glenn Case.

Have a great month,
Joni
