This September will be our nationwide month of
remembering the heroes of 2001. Now that Shoestring Gourmet will be back to cooking
after taking August off, it is only fitting that our theme for September be the
food of heroes. We’re talking about food associated with historical, fictional,
or legendary heroes: the cuisine of firemen and cops, Greek gods, athletes, leaders,
discoverers, comic book superheroes, adventurers, or any other person of accomplishment
you can think of. We will be getting together at 6 pm on
Saturday, September 14 at the home of Ursula Gore. Please
call Ursula at 602-863-9648 by Thursday, September 12 to coordinate
