Thomas Jefferson introduced the custom of shaking hands.  Previously, gentlemen bowed to each other.

Lincoln had a high pitched voice.

Taylor was the first president who never held another elective office.

Two presidents, Taft and Kennedy are buried in Arlington National Cemetery with their wives beside them.

Gerald Ford is the only person to never been elected either President or Vice President.

Grover Cleveland is the only president to serve two nonconsecutive terms.  He married in the White House at age 49 to a 21 year old bride.  The "Baby Ruth" candy bar is named in honor of one of their children.

Andrew Johnson never attended  even one day of school.
